A Grave Injustice

Hey everyone,

I still don't have internet access, but i'm over at my parents house to make this special post, because it needs to be said.

The Nobel Prize Committee has severely wronged Dr. Raymond Damadian.

Dr. Damadian first discovered that cancer cells can be detected using Magnetic Resistance Imaging. He later went on to invent the MRI scanner, and founded FONAR corporation. This year, the nobel prize was awarded for the invention of the MRI scanner; however it was awarded to two men who made improvements on it, and omitted Dr. Damadian himself from the award.

This is a piece of political bullshit. Ivory tower scientists doing other ivory tower scientists favors, making the University of Illinois look good while ignoring the lifetime dr. Damadian spent inventing this machine. He is in the inventors hall of fame for it. He holds all the patents for the MRI scanner. And yet, somehow, he is not the man to win the Nobel Prize for inventing that same machine.

The Story.

I don't know what to do. But something must be done. People need to know the truth. While these two other guys sat in their cushy teaching jobs at big universities, Dr. Damadian was out making his technology available to people like you and me. Who doesn't have an aunt or a cousin who had an MRI? Who doesn't know someone who's very life was saved by this invention? You all do, and every one of you has Dr. Damadian to thank for it. Get this man some justice for his lifetime of hard work.
